Joe Roche, CEO
Joe Roche is the Regional President for St. Vincent Health System, part of Ascension Health, the largest non-profit healthcare provider in the United States, with more than 82 hospitals in 22 states. Joe is a graduate of Wayne State University, the University of Michigan, and Oakland University. Joe and his wife recently celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary and the birth of their sixth grandchild.
Donetta Breeden, Chief Clinical Officer and VP of Clinical Services
Donetta Breeden brings 27 years experience in health care administration. She provides leadership and accountability for all clinical disciplines of care delivery at Monroe Hospital. Donetta holds a Masters Degree in Nursing, specializing in Nursing Leadership and Healthcare Administration. She received her BSN and MSN from the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, IN. Donetta began her career in 1986 as a Staff Nurse at the Daviess County Hospital, Washington, IN. She has since held several administrative roles spanning all levels of health care provision in Indiana and abroad. Donetta worked overseas for 15 years as a Quality Director and CNO at an American/Saudi Airbase in Saudi Arabia. As a Quality Director, Donetta successfully led an 18 month project to obtain Joint Commission International Accreditation. This very unique experience allows Donetta to bring diverse experience and skills to Monroe Hospital and the surrounding community.
Ashley Everett, Director of Clinical Ancillary Services
Ashley joined the Monroe Team in June of 2012 as the Cardiopulmonary Manager. She most recently directed the Cardiology Department, Interventional Radiology & Catheterization lab, and the Respiratory Department. Ashley has a Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Administration and is currently pursuing her MBA/HCA through Ashford University. She has 20 years of experience in the areas of cardiovascular management, patient navigational planning, multi-specialty diagnostic services, therapeutic care and wellness programming. As Director, Ashley will oversee the following services; Laboratory, Pharmacy, Diagnostic Imaging, Physical Therapy, Cardiopulmonary, and Respiratory.
Kim Adams, Director of Clinical Services
Kim Adams graduated from IU Southeast in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She began her nursing experience as a bedside nurse in a Medical/Surgical unit at Harrison County Hospital. She then transitioned to the Emergency Department at Johnson Memorial Hospital. She is a member of the ENA and is active in the participation of Hospital Incident Command (HICS) training. Kim joined Monroe Hospital in September 2006 as a staff nurse in the Emergency Department. In October, 2010 she became the co-Charge Nurse for the Emergency Department and became more active on committees and QI review. In October of 2011, she transitioned to Manager of the ED as well as Patient Flow Coordinator. In May, 2013 she transitioned into the role of Director of Clinical Services. Kim now oversees Medical/Surgical and ICU/PCU in addition to the Emergency Department, and is an active participant in staff education at Monroe Hospital.
Christy Frye, Manager of the Physician Network
Christy Frye has 17 years of healthcare experience, including 11 years in management positions. She is a Certified Professional Coder with the American Academy of Professional Coders. Christy was born and raised in Ellettsville, where she currently lives with her daughter, Allie.
Brenda Cook, Director of Perioperative Services
Brenda Cook, RN, BSN, MHA, PhD, joined the Monroe Hospital family in September of 2013 after moving to Bloomington from Indianapolis with her husband. Brenda has resided in IN for 50 years and brings over 35 years of healthcare experience including 20 years of management experience to our Perioperative Serivces Department. Perioperative Service has been Brenda’s specialty for most of her career working as a staff nurse, a nursing educator, business manager and most recently Chief of Surgical Services and Evidenced Based Practice. In addition to working in the hospital environment, Brenda has also been involved in nursing research and various leadership publications.
