What is Interventional Radiology?
Interventional Radiology (IR) is an ancillary department of Radiology (x-ray) that uses fluoroscopy (live x-ray) and contrast (x-ray dye) to aid in the visualization of anatomy using minimally invasive techniques for therapy.
